Today is an exciting day! And here’s why! People often ask me, “what will happen if you aren’t able to make it to my wedding to photograph it?” That is a great question and the truth is, while I do have a backup plan and a network of amazing photographers who would have my back in a pinch, I would basically have to be dying in a hospital bed somewhere to not make it to a wedding! Last July I underwent emergency surgery to have my appendix removed… 48 hours before shooting Mike & Cassie’s beautiful wedding! Two friends jumped in and helped me by carrying my bag and second shooting (thank you Brad & Marcus!) and we rocked it! I was in so much pain but wouldn’t let it show because the day was too beautiful, too perfect! And I am so excited to share that their wedding has just been published by a major publication – Borrowed & Blue! I had to prove to myself that not only could I shoot a wedding when in a world of pain, but I could shoot it at full capacity and creativity (no I didn’t take any pain meds so I would be at the top of my game!)
