Jenny & Jon’s beautiful October wedding day started with preparations at the Hewing Hotel in downtown Minneapolis! There was a brisk chill in the air that hinted at the beginning of winter! Jenny & her ladies had their hair & make-up done by the always talented Lisa Kurtz Makeup & Hair Artistry team before they put their bridesmaids dresses on. I had a blast taking photos of their details! A favorite moment was when I opened up a box that had the garter that Jenny’s grandma wore and discovered a penny taped inside the lid! I asked Jenny if it was her grandma’s lucky penny and it was a new, meaningful discovery! Love moments like this! Jenny’s mom and sister helped her into her beautiful wedding dress and she was ready to see her man! When I went over to Jon and the guys, they were all getting ready and they had their matching slippers that Jon gave them all! Jon looked so classy in his suit from Heimie’s Haberdashery!
Then, it was time! First look time and they were both so excited! We were able to use the rooftop of the Hewing Hotel with a beautiful skyline view of Minneapolis! Look at the smile on Jon’s face when he saw his bride for the first time! So sweet! We took a few more couples photos and then it started to sleet and snow! So we went inside and did some photos inside the lobby of the hotel! There was a break in the rain and snow and so we went back outside for wedding party photos! Such a fun group! And look at the bouquets and boutonnieres from Lexington Floral!
We then moved to the beautiful, industrial ceremony space at Watson Block! It was a perfectly cozy setting for their ceremony of just shy of 100 guests in attendance. Just inside the door, Jenny & Jon had a champagne wall set for all their guests to grab a drink to take to their seats! Borrowed & Bubbly did a great job with this design! The couple exchanged loving vows and were pronounced husband and wife! Love the joy as the walked back down the aisle!
Directly after, guests enjoyed a social hour with live piano music played by Minneapolis Event Pianist! Such a fun feel in the room! After guests were seated for dinner, the wedding party was announced in and then it was time for the newly weds! Jon picked up Jenny and carried her into a room filled with cheering guests! There was an absolutely delicious dinner catered by Kafe 421 and I mean delicious! One of my favorite things was their head table where Jenny & Jon had their parents sit with them! Such a neat way to honor them! Special speeches happened, cupcakes were put out, and the dance began! SuperGood DJ’s did an exceptional job tailoring this dance to the couple’s favorite music! All around a perfect day! And special thanks to Nicole at Seasons of Dreams! She is such an incredible wedding planner and the day went off without a hitch! Congrats to the newlyweds!
