Karli & Josh’s wedding day was a bright, sunny winter day! Perfect for these two! I arrived a little bit before they did and started detail photos in the newly built area of St. Michael Catholic Church in St. Michael, MN! Such fun details and you have to love Karli’s shoes! I think this might be the first bride I’ve ever had wear “Hey, Dude” shoes on her wedding day! Karli’s matron-of-honor helped her with her final prep and Karli got in her beautiful dress from The Wedding Shoppe! Josh put on his suit and looked so sharp in his attire from Knight’s Chamber. After they were all ready, it was time for their first look!

The church sanctuary was empty and warm, so we did their first look down the aisle! Josh looked surprised and overjoyed when he saw Karli in her dress! They hugged and had a few special moments and then we rolled into couples photos! From the white pillars in the church, to the stained glass, this church is beautiful! Karli & Josh also wanted to tie in the old historic church just a few blocks away so we headed over there for a few photos. I’m so glad this church is still here! It is so beautiful and so iconic of downtown St. Michael! After a few couples photos, we added in the whole wedding party on the steps for a few quick outside photos! Then we went back to the new church for a few more photos inside and then some family photos.

Their 2:00 pm ceremony began and it felt so grand in this gorgeous church! Karli & Josh said their vows and shared their first kiss! Everyone clapped and it was time to head to the reception! Their reception was held at Greenhaven Golf Course in Anoka and it was a good fit for this sized reception. After a social hour, the wedding party arrived and the grand march happened! When Karli & Josh entered the room, Josh was giving his bride a piggyback ride! After dinner, guests enjoyed toasts, cupcakes, and dancing! After their first dance, Karli danced with her dad and Josh danced with his mom at the same time. Then the glow sticks came out and the dance started! Just before I left, we went outside for a few photos under the café lights at in the snow! Super happy for Karli & Josh! What a beautiful day!
