Macena & Cole’s January wedding at Arrowwood Resort & Conference Center was stunning! The trees had a fresh coat of frost on them that lasted all day! Macena & her ladies started the day by having their hair & makeup done by Ella’s Salon, who did an excellent job! I had such a blast taking detail photos of Macena’s accessories which included sparkly heels from Top Moda, a beautiful winter fur, & custom rings! Macena then put on her dress from Posh Bridal that was perfect on her (credit for this perfect fitting dress goes to Amazing Alterations!)! Her bridesmaids put on their red bridesmaid dresses from David’s Bridal in Maple Grove and the ladies were ready! Meanwhile, Cole and his groomsmen were getting ready upstairs along with both dads. Cole’s dad helped him put on the finishing touches of his suit from Knight’s Chamber and Cole looked dapper!

Just before the bride and groom did their first look, Macena did a first look with her dad! To say he was blow away and moved to tears was an understatement! Such a sweet moment for these two and I think everyone watching was crying! Then we went outside for Macena & Cole’s first look and it was so sweet! Cole was so proud of his bride and they were both happy to finally see each other and spend the rest of the day together! It was chilly out but these two were incredible and toughed out the elements to get the stunning photos they wanted! After some couples photos and some warm up breaks, we did wedding party photos outside as well! What a beautiful setting! We did a few whole family photos outside (this was Macena’s great idea!) and then did the full family photos inside were it was warm!

Their ceremony took place at 5:30 pm and the room was filled with about 175 family and loved ones! These two looked so sweetly at each other the whole ceremony and it was a joy to watch them commit their love to one another! After the ceremony the couple greeted their guests in a receiving line between the ceremony space and the reception area. This reception felt so cozy! Guests weren’t crammed together or anything like that, it just felt cozy because it was cold outside and everyone was so happy to be together, visiting, catching up, and meeting new people! After great toasts from both dads, the best man, and the maid of honor, it was time to dance!

Macena & Cole shared their first dance and looked so in love! Then Macena danced with her dad who looked so proud! Cole & his mom danced and it was one of the sweetest mother/son dances I’ve ever seen! You could see the love beaming from both of their faces (along with a few tears!)! Al from Al Edwards Entertainment did an excellent job DJing this reception! Before I left we did a sparkler photo outside and everyone cheered! Then I took the couple to a frost covered tree I had been eyeing since I got there that morning! It made for some super fun night photos!
