Juliann & Josh had a very cool vintage vibe for their entire wedding day! Their ceremony & reception took place it downtown Shakopee at Turtle’s 1890 Social Centre, which was a great setting for this vintage feel! The day started with preparations at Josh’s uncle’s house were everyone got ready. When I arrived, Juliann showed me all the fun details she had gathered for detail shots and she showed me her dress! It was the dress that her late mother worn on her wedding day! How cool and special is that?! Lena’s Tailoring did a great job fitting it perfectly for Juliann! Her younger sister helped her into her dress and she looked beautiful! Josh’s best man helped him get his suit coat from Men’s Wearhouse on and he looked sharp! Josh even worn a classy hat for his wedding! Love it!
After they were all ready, we did their first look outside in the shade! You could see how happy they were to see one another! Once they were together, the wedding day nerves got so much better and these two were so happy to be together! We all went over to downtown Shakopee and did couple’s and wedding party photos down by the old bridge and downtown! The area fit the look so well!
We got back to the venue and hid the couple away in one of the back rooms while guests arrived! Juliann’s sister played prelude music on her cello and the room filled up! One of Josh’s groomsmen officiated the wedding and did a great job! Juliann’s brother walked her down the aisle and you could see how proud he was written all over his face! Juliann & Josh exchanged vows and when they were pronounced married, lots of relatives jumped to their feet cheering! Everyone was so excited for these two!
During cocktail hour, we did some family photos outside while guests mingled. Dinner then followed with an incredible Mexican styled buffet from Turtle’s Bar and Grill! The couple cut their cake and Josh’s best man gave a heartfelt speech and Juliann’s maid of honor said some kind words as well! Josh & Juliann shared their first dance and then Josh danced with his mom! Rising Stars Productions did a great job DJing and keep the party rolling! Just before I left, I took the couple out for a few sunset photos and it was so beautiful! Juliann had a gorgeous lace overlay that her mom wore on her wedding day that she put on for a few photos! Super honored to have been there with these two sweethearts!
