Westwood Lutheran Church & The Hutton House Wedding | Kaatrin & Bennett

Kaatrin & Bennett are so much fun! There is this joy and lightheartedness when you are around them that’s contagious! This wedding day began with preparations at The Hutton House, their wedding ceremony followed at Westwood Lutheran Church, and their reception took place back at The Hutton House! Super fun for me too, because the bride was a bridesmaid in wedding I photographed five years ago – shoutout to Kenzie (who was a bridesmaid in this wedding) & Kyle!

Kaatrin started her day getting her hair and makeup done by WarPaint International in the bridal suite. After a few robe shots with her four bridesmaids and flower girl, her mom helped her get into her amazing dress from A & Be Bridal Shop! Sweet mother/daughter moments here as Kaatrin’s mom helped her with her dress & jewelry (beautiful pieces from Grace + Hudson Jewelry)! Then we did a little dress reveal with Kaatrin and her ladies! Check out the adorable look on her flower girl’s face! We then did a first look with Kaatrin and her dad! They are super close and it shows!

Bennett had his dad and his soon to be father-in-law help him with his final preparations! They helped him into his grey suit from Men’s Wearhouse and adjust his boutonniere made by Bellamore Floral! Bellamore did a fantastic job with all the florals and the bridal bouquet was so vibrate with color! Exactly what Kaatrin wanted! The couple then shared their first look at the bottom of the amazing staircase at The Hutton House! Loved this! They were finally together and so happy! The bride gave Bennett a funny wedding day gift before we started couple’s photos – socks with her face all over them! So fun! It was very warm on their wedding day, so we did a few photos outside and then used the gorgeous indoor space in the venue for couple’s photos. We then added the wedding party! The bridesmaids were wearing amazing dresses from Azazie, and the groomsmen where wearing handsome suits from Men’s Wearhouse. Everyone looked so good! After taking just a couple full family photos at The Hutton House, we made our way over to the church for the ceremony!

Their ceremony took place at Westwood Lutheran Church and it was beautiful! Upon arrival, we took a few photos outside in front of the tall windows and bricks on the exterior of the church before going inside for family photos. We did immediate family photos at the alter area of the church and took photos of Kaatrin and her 101 year old grandmother! Guests arrived and then it was time for the ceremony! The couple loves music so there was lots of great music in their ceremony along with special vows and a message from the pastor. Then they were pronounced husband and wife and exited to a grand organ piece! After hugging their family and wedding party, the couple excited the church and got in an old classic car that they rode back to the reception!

Then it was back to The Hutton House for the reception were guests enjoyed a social hour with apps, drinks, and lawn games! I absolutely love the reception space here! And it was perfectly decorated! After the grand march, the bride’s dad gave a welcome and then it was time for dinner by Fork & Flair! After dinner was over, Kaatrin had told me how much she loves photos in front of the venue (I totally agree!) and the light was perfect so we gathered the wedding party and did a few fun photos out front! After we came back it, the couple cut their Buttercream cake, toasts were given, and it was time for the first dance! The couple shared a sweet first dance! Then it appeared that the bride and her dad were going to have a slow father/daughter dance! But as the song progressed, they rolled into a choreographed mashup! The guests loved it! The groom shared a special dance with his mom and then it was open dance time! What an incredible wedding day!
