Words simply cannot express the feelings and emotions of this day! My sister-in-law is married!!! ❤️ I have known Lizzy since she was very little. When my wife & I got married 12 years ago, she became not just my sister but one of my best friends! Over the years we’ve grown close and I couldn’t be more proud of her! Caleb came into our lives as an acquaintance and as they started their relationship, our whole family grew to love him! Together, these two are an amazing couple! Thank you both for including us in your wedding day – my wife and daughter as bridesmaids & allowing me to be with you all day taking photos! I love you both dearly!!!
The day started at the house where I took detail photos of their accessories as they got ready. Lizzy’s dress was absolutely stunning and guess what? She (with the help of her mom) made it!!! Incredibly stunning! Caleb got in his sharp black suit & bow-tie and wore some awesome vintage cuff-links! His pocket square was also made by his bride! Lizzy got in her wedding dress and her mom helped with the final touches.
We did couple’s photos around the family hobby farm and what you won’t know by looking at these photos is that the temps were in the mid-30s with wind gusts up to 29 mph! These two were tough and stuck out the temps! We did wedding party photos that consisted of all family members! So fun having my wife, daughter, sister-in-laws, brother-in-laws, niece, and friends make up the entire wedding party! Check out the bridesmaid’s array of multi-colored dresses as well! So beautiful and fall-ish! We did family photos at the farm before heading into town for the ceremony!
The couple got married at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Atwater in a cozy, beautiful ceremony! Another fun thing was during the processional, my son took my second camera and got a back angle of the bride walking down the aisle! First wedding he has taken photos for me at and it was fun to have him help! Both dad’s officiated the ceremony and one of the most special moments was when Lizzy surprised Caleb and sang a song to him before they said their vows! It was so sweet and the groom was completely shocked! After they exchanged vows and rings, they were pronounced husband and wife!
Afterwards, everyone went over to the Atwater Community Center for a lovely reception! So many people lent a hand and made this reception beautiful and special, from the decor to the food! Even home pressed apple cider and ice cream! The couple shared some words of thanks and mingled. The couple hung around until most the guests were gone before they left. One thing I loved about this entire wedding day was the couple made it theirs. They didn’t try and make it something they weren’t but kept it just perfect for them! So proud of these two and forever grateful they are in my life!
