Emily & Blake’s intimate, private resort wedding in Spooner, Wisconsin was nothing short of a joyous dream! So many incredibly sweet people in one place was truly special! I’ve had the joy of working along side Emily at weddings when she has been the wedding coordinator and I’ve been the photographer! To be invited and included in her wedding day was such an honor. Love these two and so happy to see them married!

Their wedding took place at a private residence called Spooner Lake Island Oasis right on the lake! When I arrived early to scope out locations to do photos, I was so excited! What a property! I took photos of all the amazing details as the couple finished getting ready. Emily had her hair & make-up done by Fringe Salon & Spa and they did such a lovely job! Emily’s aunt had brought a necklace, bracelet, and earrings that were Emily’s late grandmothers. So it was a special moment for her aunt to give those to her to wear on her wedding day! Emily’s mom helped her into her beautiful dress from a&bé bridal shop and she looked beautiful! Blake’s dad helped him with his tie and suit from The Foursome and it was a special moment for those two!

Emily & Blake shared their first look with the water as the backdrop! They were so excited to see each other! I love the tenderness of the love these two share – it shows so beautifully! We took photos all around the property and then ventured into the game room for some fun shots as well! Emily & Blake are so much fun! We took some family photos as well and it was so lovely to capture these moments!

Most of the family and friends were staying at the Island Oasis, so as the ceremony approached, everyone finished getting ready. The ceremony began and Emily walked the aisle toward her groom! Such a sweet moment! The bride’s aunt officiated the wedding with a special reading from her sister. The couple exchanged vows and were pronounced husband and wife! Down the aisle, they stopped for a dip kiss and it was perfect!

Everyone enjoyed a cocktail hour around the patio and pool as dinner was prepared! The couple grabbed me and said they were going to give gifts to their parents and I was all in! They had created customized 4×6 memory photo albums of pictures from their entire childhood into adulthood for their parents! How sweet is that?! So many joyfilled emotions! After mingling for a bit, everyone sat down and the couple welcomed everyone! Dinner was served and Ray and his crew from 5 Course Catering did an absolutely incredible job making everyone feel special and serving delicious food! The couple cut their cake that had customized curling toppers on top! These two are world class curlers and it was so fun to see some of these details throughout the day!

After dinner everyone gathered under the pavilion for the couple’s first dance and then a combined parent/child dance! Then everyone danced the night away! We went down the dirt road for some sunset photos as the sun lowered over the beautiful lake! What a special day filled with incredible moments! Truly an honor to have been welcomed into their day! Love these two and so happy for Emily & Blake!
