The day after New Year’s Day felt especially magical for Sam and Scott’s winter wedding—peaceful & fresh! From heartfelt family moments to joyful surprises, their day was a beautiful reminder that love is best celebrated with intention, laughter, and the people who matter most.

The morning began with a sense of calm and closeness. Sam made sure to include both moms in her getting-ready photos, a detail that set the tone for the day—family first, always. There was so much love in the room as final touches were made and quiet moments & hugs were shared before the celebration began.

Meanwhile, Scott spent the morning getting ready alongside his brother and groomsmen. With his brother helping him button up and adjust the finishing details, the guys kicked off the day with a round of cheers—equal parts excitement and support—before heading into what would become one unforgettable celebration.

Sam and Scott shared their first look inside the Altitude Room, an intimate moment filled with emotion and anticipation. From there, we braved the Minnesota winter and headed to Minnehaha Falls, where the snow created a stunning, timeless backdrop. The quiet beauty of winter paired perfectly with their connection—romantic, serene, and effortlessly joyful!

Their ceremony was deeply personal and full of symbolism. In a unique and heartfelt touch, Sam and Scott performed an essential oil unity ceremony, a nod to Sam’s love of making soaps with essential oils. The blending of scents symbolized the joining of their lives—distinct yet beautifully intertwined.

One of the most emotional moments came when Sam’s mom shared a poem that has been passed down through generations of her family. There where many tears spent as the words echoed with love & meaning!

Right after the grand march, Sam and Scott went straight into their first dance! But before dinner, guests were treated to something unexpected—a round of Kahoot!, bringing laughter, friendly competition, and a whole lot of fun into the reception!

After dinner and heartfelt toasts, the night took an unforgettable turn when family members and guests surprised Sam with a choreographed flash mob—set to a song all about her. It was personal, hilarious, and incredibly touching, perfectly capturing the spirit of the day!
