Lydia & Caleb’s wedding day felt like stepping into a living work of art. Their ceremony at the Minneapolis Institute of Arts couldn’t have been more perfect for Lydia, whose love for art shaped so much of the feel of the day! Surrounded by timeless pieces and quiet beauty, they promised forever in a space that already held so much history and meaning.
The morning began softly, with photos of Lydia’s dress hanging in her bedroom that was lined with classic paintings! Her gown from Candy’s Bridal, flawlessly tailored by Amazing Alterations, moved with such elegance, and her look was completed with delicate bridal jewelry and her ring from Wedding Day Diamonds. Her hair, styled by The Hive Studio, was the perfect romantic touch — effortless and timeless.
Florals from Something Borrowed Blooms added gentle texture and beauty throughout the day, complementing the art-filled setting rather than competing with it. Every detail felt thoughtful, from the invitations designed through Canva to the bridesmaids in their dresses and jewelry, which came together beautifully and proved elegance doesn’t have to be complicated.
Caleb and his groomsmen looked classic and sharp in suits from Milbern Clothing Co., and his ring, also from Wedding Day Diamonds, symbolized the same deep commitment reflected in the way he looks at Lydia — with complete tenderness.
Caleb’s dad officiated the ceremony and it was such a special touch! One of my favorite moments from the day was the prayer time during the ceremony. The couple did a unity rope tying over a painting that was signed by loved ones and then started praying together. Then all of the parents and grandparents came and surrounded them and prayed. Finally, the entire audience stood and stretched out a hand and prayed blessings over the couple! So cool!
The celebration carried on at The Landmark Center, where stunning architecture and warm light wrapped the evening in charm. Guests were treated to incredible food from Donatelli’s, and the sweetest treat came in the form of a beautiful cake from Milly’s Bakery.
More than anything, this day was about two incredibly kind people whose love is gentle, genuine, and deeply rooted. The way they care for each other is quiet but powerful — the kind of love that doesn’t need to be loud to be undeniable. A truly beautiful beginning for an incredible couple!
We ended this incredible day by going upstairs in the Landmark Center to get a few night photos with the building’s stunning architecture. Then we went outside to Rice Park where the winter lights were the perfect setting to end the evening!
